Road Dogs and Rescue Sponsor Dogs Lil' Papa

Lil Papa

Sponsor Lil Papa

Lil Papa was found on the streets of Mexico, completely blind from his previous abuse, mistreated and let down by those that should have protected him. Food is a source of great joy for most, but it’s truly a heart wrenching experience to watch our lovable lemon eat. Food must have been used as a source of abuse as he stands by his food and cries looking around, unable to eat until you reassure him that “It’s okay Papa, eat your food it’s okay”. This happens for every single meal. When we rescued Lil Papa he was about 13 years old, all but one tooth had to be removed and he understandably had a lot of trust issues. Patience, TLC, and infinite support transformed our little Roadie from a growling beast who used to snap at everyone to a lovable lemon who loves to hear his own voice through growls but appreciates snuggle sessions in the evenings, while incessantly kissing your arms!

Fast forward to 3 years and Lil’ Papa is living his best life with his furever fosters! His favorite thing to do is lay by the fire in his big gigantic soft bed and blankie in tow that he won’t share with anyone! He may be vision impaired, but he is one smart cookie and gets around the house like a champ! His enhanced hearing gets him prancing once he hears his fur siblings getting excited for car rides and don’t get us started on how adorable he is when his nose is in the air as he enjoys nice stroller rides with the pack! Lil Papa is a beautiful soul, whose spirit was almost broken, but he made it through the other side with people who showed him that their hands will only be used to help him and their unconditional love will help him reignite that spark within him.

Please consider sponsoring his care today!
