Gertrude Petunia

Meet Gertrude Petunia! Every day she is like a child during Christmas morning, just so full of life and love! Our Loveable Lemon is so appreciative to be rescued and always has a smile on her face! Gertrude was surrendered to the shelter in Santa Cruz and luckily they reached out to us due to her medical needs, as her hind legs aren’t working too well. She is mostly continent, but sometimes has a hard time knowing when she needs to go out, so she wears a diaper part time. The shelter was kind enough to donate some wheels to us…which she LOVES!! Most dogs take a bit of time to adjust to the wheels, but our girl was so happy to be mobile that she was zipping along with ease and excitement. Gertie is a goof ball and has bursts of energy where she jumps around and will definitely make your day much sweeter! Our Roadie likes to play with toys, but she absolutely loves snuggling with you and getting some butt rubs! She would love a home where her people are home most of the time. Our girl is most definitely a social butterfly and loves to live life to the fullest with people by her side! Gertrude is susceptible of UTI’s due to her IVDD and is currently on antibiotics with an integration of holistic medicine as well!
